Disappointed: Slow Cooling and Disturbingly Loud Outdoor Unit

I have been using this LG Air Conditioner for a month now, and my experience has been quite disappointing.Despite installing it in a small 90 sq. ft. room, the unit takes around 20 minutes just to cool the space down. Given the small size of the room, I expected much faster and more effective cooling performance.The biggest issue, however, is the extreme noise coming from the Outdoor Unit (ODU). At night, when the surroundings are quiet, the heavy vibration and noise become unbearable. It not only disturbs my sleep every single night but is also loud enough to irritate the neighbors.While LG is a reputable brand, the slow cooling speed paired with the excessively loud outdoor unit makes this particular model hard to recommend. I hope customer support addresses this noise issue soon.

Good Performace and Very Efficient.

This AC is very efficient even with 2 star energy rating. When the room is near the set temperature, the inverter compressor is pulling only 140 watt/h constant to maintain the set temp.When using at night, The inverter compressor do turn off after the room is cooled passed the set temp,I use it on room 130sqft which is larger than recommended 100sqft. It manage to cool the room within ~10 minutes. , running 9PM to 10AM It use 1.3 unit only.haven't got a chance to test the current usage during day.It has mechanical up down swing and Manual left and right deflector, you have to adjust manually. No Display on IDU. When compared to other brand The Outdoor unit is louder.PSMy room is on groundfloor, with small portion of the wall receiving sunlight for ~3 hours in the afternoon.

LG lacks support and skilled engineers

Stay away. The machines will fail, not because lg makes them this way but because they install them horribly.They don't carry vacuum pumps. Moisture is enemy of refrigerant, R32. It needs good 20 minutes vacuuming to pull out any trace of water vapour from copper lines. otherwise it will freeze, and cooling stops until it thaws. This loads your compressor and will lead to shorter life. Eventually it will react and form sludge.LG will not allow outside installation or void your warranty. Their technicians are just inept. It does not matter how many times you call their customer care. Their installation is not following their own guidelines.They don't even do the checks required for condensate removal from indoor unit. They don't leave proper spaces for both indoor and outdoor unit. Leaving the ambient temperature around odu at 55 degrees due to lack of proper air flow. Even if weather is at 40!Read carefully their product page as amazon description is wrong. For my ac, monsoon comfort or dehumidifier is not present but is mentioned as available.The ac is only good enough as it's installation.Give heed to everyone mentioning that installation is faulty. You will only waste your money. Specs are good only if HVAC systems are properly planned and installed.

Efficient AC

This LG AC is small but very efficient — it cools my 100 sq. ft. room in just 8 minutes. For those complaining about outdoor unit noise, please check whether the compressor jacket is installed? According to an LG technician, some ACs purchased from online are delivered without a compressor jacket, which causes extra noise. During installation, the LG technician inspected my unit and confirmed that the compressor had a jacket, and I have also noticed that this LG outdoor unit noise is same like other brand's AC.

Value for Money

Cooling = sufficient for room of 100 sq feetFeatures = very minimal, no display of temperature on unit.Installation = excellent service by LG.Compressor = single rotary compressor, not the dual rotary compressor. Life of dual is more than 10 years but I am not sure about this experiment by LG, if it will last more than 10 years or will die at 10th year just after compressor warranty.Quality = light weight and compressor was also light weight as I have regular dual inverter AC from LG. Feels like economy product.This is very new model, so even I couldn't find this model while registration on LG website.Quality
